Protect food from flies, mosquitoes and dust at home or on a picnic with this pop-up mesh food cover. Opens like an umbrella and folds flat for storage.
Leaving food out on a table, whether at home or during a picnic, usually means fending off flies and dust with a napkin or nothing at all, and this pop-up mesh cover solves that more reliably. It opens with the same simple pull-cord mechanism as an umbrella: hold the top handle, pull the cord until the peg locks into place, and the frame springs open.
The fine mesh netting is breathable enough to let food stay ventilated and visible underneath while still keeping flies, mosquitoes and dust out. At 85 cm across when expanded and 53 cm tall, it has enough reach to cover several plates or one large serving dish, useful for family meals or gatherings where food sits out for a while.
When you're setting it up, make sure the bottom lace trim sits flat against the table so insects can't crawl underneath, and avoid pulling forcibly on the frame joints or leaving it near direct heat or open flames. Once you're done, it collapses back down into a slim, flat shape that's easy to tuck away in a cupboard or picnic bag.
